The Commission on Collegiate Interpreter Education is an independent body who accredits interpreter training schools. Only 18 programs are currently accredited (as of March 2025), including 14 bachelor's programs and 4 associate's programs.

Many of these programs are meant to be feeders into interpreting degrees. For example, an Associate's in ASL or Deaf Studies may be meant to prepare a student to enter a Bachelor's in interpreting at another institution.
